Terms
Terms of use
These terms cover the sites Grid Cloud, Inc. runs for The Grid: gridian.io, id.gridian.io and mail.gridian.io. By using them you accept these terms.

Who you are dealing with
Grid Cloud, Inc. runs these websites. The Grid itself is a network with its own chain: what the chain records follows The Grid’s rules, which these sites can’t override, and it can’t be undone. Fees for names and other actions on The Grid are set by those rules, not by us.
Your Gridian and its keys
- Your Gridian’s keys are made on your devices and stay there. We never hold them, so we can’t sign in as you or reset them for you.
- Keep a way back in: a second device, recovery contacts, a recovery email or a recovery phrase. A recovery replaces your keys only after its waiting period, and any key you still hold can cancel it.
- If you lose every device and every way back, your Gridian can’t be recovered.
- What is signed with your keys is yours: keep your devices locked and your recovery phrase private.
What is public
Your handle and your mail addresses are public records on The Grid, and so is anything else you put on its chain. Don’t put anything there you wouldn’t want kept for good. The privacy policy says what is public and what stays private.
Using the sites fairly
- Don’t try to get into anyone else’s Gridian, account or mailbox.
- Don’t send spam, or mail that pretends to come from someone else.
- Don’t use the sites or The Grid to break the law or to harm other people.
- Don’t attack, overload or probe the sites or The Grid, except to report a problem as our security contact describes.
Payments
Credit and plans are paid through Stripe, which shows you the amount before you pay. Stripe’s own terms apply to the payment as well as these.
The sites as they are
The Grid and these sites are new and still changing. We provide them as they are, without a promise that they will always be available or free of faults. Keep your own copy of anything that matters to you.
Changes and contact
When these terms change, the date at the top changes, and using the sites after that means you accept the new terms.
